This book contains both scientific papers (that have been peer-reviewed) and stories about personal experiences with Michal Křížek, all collected to honor Professor Křížek on the occasion of his 60th anniversary. Some ot the papers have been orally presented at the Applications of Mathematics 2012 Conference organized by the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and held in Prague on May 2-5, 2012.
